Meet Some Team Members
Taryn Russell, Campaigns Director
As Campaigns Director, Taryn provides strategic direction on the organization’s parliamentary and policy advocacy. Taryn has worked at RESULTS for 4 year, starting as a Campaigns Officer before taking on a leadership position. Prior to her time at RESULTS Canada, she worked for Global Affairs Canada in Parliamentary Affairs as well as with UNDP in Nepal on development effectiveness. Taryn holds an M.A. in International Affairs from Carleton University and a B.A. in Global Political Economy from the University of Manitoba.
Taryn loves being part of an organization that has a proven record of success in advocating for high impact, low cost poverty solutions. Furthermore, the level of commitment and dedication of the staff and volunteers is truly inspiring!
Neha Beri, Parliamentary Officer
Neha is the Parliamentary Officer at RESULTS Canada where she provides parliamentary strategies to help eradicate extreme poverty that best suit the political climate of the day. Neha holds a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Communications from Carleton University. Prior to her time with RESULTS Canada she worked for various Members of Parliament as their constituency, parliamentary and/ or legislative assistant for several years. Neha has worked for RESULTS for under a year and loves using her political knowledge to help those around the world. Neha enjoys working closely with her coworkers and the appreciates the collaborative approach from the management team.
Mélissa Dubé, Public Engagement Officer
Mélissa joined RESULTS Canada in early 2018 as the Public Engagement Organizer. In her role, Mélissa leads the national public engagement strategy to engage volunteers passionate about using their voice in ending poverty. Prior to RESULTS, Mélissa collaborated with local organizations in Bolivia, Nicaragua and Mexico in fair trade, project management and environment. At Global Affairs Canada, she administered advocacy resources to engage international groups. More recently, Mélissa led Fairtrade Canada’s outreach and B2C marketing activities to deepen and increase engagement and understanding of fair trade. In her spare time, she volunteers with multiple local organizations for a variety of issues impacting our world, including the global climate crisis. Mélissa holds a Master’s degree in International Development and Globalization from the University of Ottawa and a B.A. from St. Thomas University. Mélissa enjoys the opportunity to brainstorm ways to engage and create stimulating citizen participation opportunities. She is also passionate about being able to contribute to a more just world for all.
