Summary

The Coordinator, Direct Marketing Acquisition will report to the Associate Director, Acquisition Direct Marketing & Telemarketing with a team goal of acquiring new donors and supporters for Save the Children, enabling us to create lasting change for children around the world. This person will help coordinate and support all aspects of the direct mail, telemarketing and mid-level acquisition programs. This includes coordinating schedules and communications with our vendors, reviewing, updating and overseeing logistics related to creative and data information, as well as outside lists to ensure the timely and accurate execution of all campaigns.

This position will interact with external vendors as well as internal departments throughout the division and Agency.

 

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Supporting the Associate Director, Acquisition Direct Mail and Telemarketing 30%:

  • Provide logistical support as necessary for all direct mail & telemarketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate schedules both internally with Save the Children groups and externally with vendors to ensure that all deadlines are met and promote successful campaigns.
  • Obtain project/campaign material legal approvals by acting as lead contact and knowledge base for the legal approval process.
  • Work as a liaison with vendors and internal stakeholders to provide creative elements and data as needed and ensure proper implementation of the promotion plan.
  • Participate in campaign status meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Support Successful and Accurate Data Implementation and Campaign Execution 30%:

  • Support the Associate Director, Acquisition Direct Mail & Telemarketing in the operational execution of all direct mail and telemarketing acquisition campaigns.
  • Oversee that all data and components of the campaigns are accurate.
  • Assist in writing data processing instructions and coordinate execution of lettershop instructions for all campaigns.
  • Review the list selection process, list matrix set up and merge/purge for accuracy.
  • Work with internal and external teams to ensure proper management of creative, production, mailing, etc.
  • Manage internal departments and external vendors to streamline the process and maximize operational effectiveness to support increased fundraising.

Coordination of the Creative Process (20%):

  • Attend and participate in all creative strategy meetings. Share in discussions regarding strategy, creative, testing, results of direct mail pieces and taking minutes of the meetings for follow-up.
  • Track all creative pieces for updates and changes and facilitate the flow between Save the Children and external vendors.
  • Ensure that all coding on creative pieces is accurate and that all creative guidelines are being followed for successful execution at the lettershop.

Invoice Coding and Tracking for Campaigns (5%):

  • Receive, code and facilitate processing for all invoices related to the campaigns.
  • Assist with monitoring and tracking the expenses for campaigns.
  • Monitor and execute any campaign reconciliation processes with vendors.

Support Sr. Director & Associate Director Acquisition, on other ad-hoc projects as needed (15%)

 

Required Qualifications

  • High school Diploma required;.
  • 2-3 years administrative experience in an office setting required.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure on a number of competing tasks.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous non-profit experience a plus.
