Reporting to the Associate Director, Acquisition and Lead Gen, this position manages the Gift Catalog, both offline and online and Direct Response TV for Save the Children US. The Specialist, Gift Catalog and DRTV will work with internal and external sources to execute mailings, website updates and paid digital efforts and is responsible for ensuring the timely execution of all campaigns. 

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Campaign Management (50%):

Responsible for the execution of all campaigns mentioned above, ensuring all key performance indicators are met.

  • Assist Associate Director and Director with overall strategy and help identify key strategic opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain schedules with printer, creative agency, data processor and digital team
  • Work with production vendors to ensure proper management of printing and mailing
  • Manage matrix, source/short code, appeal and data requests to internal teams as well as merge/purge and lettershop instructions to the data processor
  • Communicate with digital team for catalog updates and catalog paid digital efforts
  • Work on design and copy deliverables for all campaigns with creative vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Organize catalog resource trip and product updates
  • Manage Direct Response TV operations, including coordination of creative assets and operational setup of new campaigns.
  • Serve as a key liaison with all stakeholders including but not limited to external vendors, Brand Marketing, Legal, Response Center, internal teams, Digital and Finance and managing the relationship with our fulfillment vendor

Program Budgeting, Analysis and Evaluation (30%):

  • Manage budgets for all sources mentioned
  • Monitor campaign performance and report on results, including in department wrap-up meetings
  • Track all internal and external expenses and assist with reforecasts
  • Reconcile all postage activity and escrow accounts

Strategy and Planning (15%):

  • Work with the Associate Director to develop marketing strategies to continue the growth and success of undesignated fundraising based on trends, opportunities for improvement, results, TV and peer comparisons
  • Coordinate strategies with internal stakeholders on the Digital, Strategy and Insights and Retention teams

Support Director and AVP on other projects as needed (5%):

  • Perform other duties as may be assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ business experience
  • High School or Technical/Vocational Degree
  • Direct mail experience and strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure on a number of competing tasks
  • Ability to work after hours or on weekends to support high-priority emergency responses

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous non-profit experience
